    Hedy joined GVL Management Ltd in 2016. Since then, she has been dedicated to building and maintaining positive relationships with new and existing clients.

     

    As Managing Director of GVL Management Limited, Hedy is leading the business into an exciting period of growth. Currently developing new services for clients and new partnerships with service providers, she is always working to make sure client satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do.

    Ian started his transport industry career in 1979, working as a VOSA enforcement officer. His duties included; roadside vehicle checks, operator advisory and enforcement visits. He was also involved in joint police investigations, which led to a long-term secondment with the West Yorkshire Police Force in Leeds.

     

    Over the years, Ian’s assignments have included; compliance management for organisations operating large-scale public events including the Glastonbury Music Festival, developing driver management and behaviour programmes, assisting operators deemed at risk to implement compliance regimes to help avoid regulatory action against them, providing support to drivers and operators at roadside and follow up encounters.

     

    As a senior consultant, Ian regularly attends public inquiries, meets with private and public sector stakeholders to impart knowledge and develop an understanding of the highly complex and regulated goods and passenger vehicle industry.

    Mick Kemp FCILT
    Technical Director

    Mick is the latest member to join our GVL Management team as our Technical Director and is a Fellow Member of The Institute of Logistics and Transport.  He comes with over 35 years’ experience in multiple transport-related roles, including operations, negotiation, training, leadership, logistics, risk and compliance management, including ISO 9001 audits. A full Military career serving 22 years, operating within the UK and the International arena, with extensive technical experience at frontline, operational and strategic levels. Mick prides himself on his pragmatic and commercial approach to problem-solving and continuous policies and process improvement. 

     

    During the 2012 Olympics, Mick was the FORS Manager (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme). Following on from this he became the Audit and Training Director for the company who carried out the FORS audits and he delivered the FORS Practitioner courses. Mick is our FORS champion with expert knowledge within the industry.

    Procurement Expertise includes Framework Tendering, OJUE Tendering process, Lead/support and/or guide all RFI/RFP/RFQ’s with a proven track record of attaining significant savings for clients.

     

    Has worked on large scale projects such as Crossrail in Traffic Management as well as purchasing specialist vehicles for Local Councils. Diverse experience in the Transport Industry and a great passion for innovative transport solutions.
